Our Facilitators
Our team of facilitators is made up of experienced professionals from the fields of education, culture, the creative arts, and technology, who bring with them deep knowledge and a passion for working with children. They work as an inseparable part of the organization's complementary educational response, in close collaboration with the Ministry of Education and the educational teams in the hospitals.
Tailored activities
The activities delivered by the facilitators are adapted to the unique reality of hospitals — they can take place in small groups or one-on-one at the child's bedside, depending on the child's medical condition and capacity for attention. The teams work with great flexibility and in cooperation with the National Service volunteers, using a wide range of equipment and materials made accessible to every child in the ward. The goal is to bring experience into the routine of hospitalization, and to allow children to discover new interests through enjoyment.
Through these experiential activities, we create for children moments of success and meaning that strengthen their sense of capability and self-confidence. The sessions offer an important respite from the daily reality of the hospital and help children reconnect with their strengths and abilities. In this way, the facilitators help children experience positive learning and feel that they are a whole world worthy of investment — beyond being defined as patients or as hospitalized.
Our team of facilitators
SASA Setton's team of facilitators includes experts in many and varied fields, from visual art and photography to advanced technologies such as robotics and 3D printing. The team leads experiential music workshops, strategic thinking games, juggling, magic, and even canine-assisted therapy that combines empowering contact with animals. Every facilitator brings not only deep professional knowledge but also great sensitivity and an understanding of the unique link between education and recovery.
The facilitators are part of a broad educational fabric that combines professionalism and humanity at the heart of the hospitals. Together with the National Service volunteers, they help create a rich educational environment that gives children a safe and inspiring space. Thanks to their expertise, we are able to create moments of light that stay with the children and their families — long beyond the period of hospitalization.
