Early Childhood Educational Centers of Excellence in the Gaza Envelope and Northern Confrontation Line Communities

The "Wraparound Support" Campaign

As part of the "Wraparound Support" emergency campaign, SASA Setton is leading a strategic project to establish early childhood educational centers of excellence in Gaza Envelope communities and in communities along the northern confrontation line, in partnership with the social organizations Center for Jewish Impact and Alumot Or. The project is funded and supported by Bank Hapoalim through its "Poalim LeTkuma" fund, established for the rehabilitation and renewed growth of Western Negev residents following the events of October 7 and the Swords of Iron war, with additional funding from the Segal Foundation and the Rotman Foundation, and in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and the local council.

The initiative was born out of a deep commitment to the rehabilitation and renewed growth of Western Negev communities, with the aim of giving children a high-quality, inspiring educational environment that supports the development of their personal and social skills. It was also created with the children's families in mind, with the goal of strengthening their resilience as well.

As part of the project, we accompany the kindergarten educational teams through a shared pedagogical "dreaming" process and ongoing professional training, enabling them to implement innovative educational approaches that complement the programs already running in the kindergarten.

At the same time, we lead the design and equipping of the kindergarten learning environment in line with the professional vision, creating a pleasant and intriguing space where every child can discover their unique qualities, talents and skills. To complete the therapeutic support, we also run an emotional support process in collaboration with the Trauma Center of the Child and Adolescent Unit at Barzilai Medical Center.

The professional support at the "Wraparound Support" centers is provided flexibly, in response to the changing needs raised by the kindergarten staff and the local community. In this way, we ensure that the "Wraparound Support" project serves as an anchor of stability, growth and hope for the children of the region and their families.
